　　《江南Style》是什么？它是韩国歌手朴载相创作的一首歌曲，这个有着肥胖的脸蛋、细细的小眼、臃肿的上身，跳着怪诞的骑马舞的大叔一夜之间红遍全球。有人说这是一种无厘头的狂欢，迎合了网络时代的“宣泄”特性，抛开了严肃和说教，在搞笑中实现了韩国文化的传播；有人说《江南Style》的走红是因为迎合了西方国家对亚洲文化的偏见，是以自我亵渎的方式“走向国际”。那么，《江南Style》的走红，对于亚洲文化的传播究竟是福还是祸？是否值得借鉴以推广中国文化呢？
　　
　　Gangnam Style successfully aroused worldwide attention to Korean culture by showing the funny horse?riding dance and the way of making fun of oneself, which is a good example of promoting different cultures in the world.
　　Nowadays, most things become popular online because they are so funny that more and more people will be interested to dig more background information. For instance, although most of the people around the world are not familiar with singer Psy and don’t understand the lyrics, Gangnam Style has become a global rage, prompting more people to seek information on South Korea.
　　In addition, the way of making fun of oneself is very effective in winning people’s heart. By doing so, the image of one culture may appear easy?going and approachable, which is inspiring for spreading Chinese culture. For decades, China has been trying to make its language and message be heard across the world, but the exportation of its cultural products is far from satisfactory. This is partly because the way we export, such as opening Confucius Institutes, is just too serious, traditional and without any sense of humor.
　　All in all, Gangnam Style proves that a different way of promoting culture can be a success.
　　
　　The success of Gangnam Style is misleading other Asian countries to make fun of themselves to get accepted by the West. To some degree, the fat and weird?looking singer is like a clown doing funny dancing to win applause.
　　First of all, why westerners like the music video when they have no idea of its content? Because the singer is exactly the same with what they think Asians are like—dandified in appearance（油头粉面） and stupid in actions. Therefore Gangnam Style is useless in shaping a positive image of Asians.
　　Second, Gangnam Style has little influence on culture exchanges and communications. America is doing well in promoting its culture by producing “world heroes” which are more rightful characters, thus forming a positive image in the world.
　　All in all, it is not enough to be merely accepted. To gain appreciation and admiration is more important.
