A. strike B. cover C. touch D. wipe做完形填空时，要始终抓住文章本身，联系“双语境”来判断，即大语境——全文中心和基调，小语境——空格前后句子所构成的语境。以上例子的大语境：一个缺少双腿的女孩最后实现了对已故表妹的承诺——和海豚一起游泳。1.小语境。选A。通过第一空的后一句可知玛佳的表妹死了，也就是说玛佳失去了她的表妹。2.大语境和小语境。选C。蛛丝马迹法。通读全文后可知玛佳和她的表妹都很崇拜海豚，但是这个空有四个选项，分别是“谈话”“生活”“游泳”“冲浪”，考生应该选哪一个呢？其实文章有一个明显的暗示，也就是文章的最后一句：Finally，the two began to swim around the pool together。从这一句可知玛佳发誓要跟海豚一起游泳以纪念自己的表妹。可能有些考生在此时还敢大胆地选择C选项，因为觉得证据不足。笔者在这里要告诉考生一条规则：不选凭空想象的选项，只选有蛛丝马迹的选项。分析该题的四个选项，文章中只出现了C选项，根本没有出现其他选项的痕迹。故考生可以大胆地选择C选项。3.小语境。选A。根据“玛佳发誓和海豚一起游泳”，可知两个女孩都很崇拜海豚。4.小语境。选B。根据前一句“Jasmina never got the chance to do it”可知，玛佳觉得表妹没能够实现和海豚一起游泳是一件遗憾的事，于是她决定帮助表妹完成梦想。5.小语境。选B。根据后一句——She even planned to become an athlete，可知玛佳对体育的热爱。6.小语境。选D。从后一句中可知玛佳在内战中失去了双腿，这是一件很不幸的事情。7.小语境。选A。词汇辨析。从前后文可知，一次爆炸夺去了玛佳的双腿。8.小语境。选C。双腿断了，那么接受治疗就是人之常情了。有些考生可能会错选B，B选项是手术的意思，手术只是治疗过程的一个环节，从全文来看，手术不可能持续两年，故不能选B。9.小语境。选B。根据下文的“走路对玛佳来说是痛苦的”，可知是因为假腿不合适。10.小语境。选D。根据下文的“她设法完成了中学学业”，可知虽然痛苦，但是……，故选D。11.小语境。选B。根据空格前后的“receiving”和“University”，可知玛佳获得了大学学位。12.小语境。选C。合乎常理的推理：大学毕业，得到工作，最后建立起自己的公司。13.语法题。选D。词句的意思：为了放松，玛佳过去经常去看水族馆理的海豚表演。14.固定搭配。选A。有一只失去尾巴的海豚吸引了她的注意力。catch one’ s eye意为“吸引……的注意力”。15.大语境和小语境。选D。选根据下文“海豚能自由地游泳了”，可知是工作人员正在给海豚安装高科技的尾巴。很多考生觉得这也是一道难题，如果单从小语境来看的话，这题确实有一定的难度，看起来四个选项似乎都是对的，但如果考生回过头来看到玛佳刚刚装上假肢时用的一个动词“fit”，再根据“蛛丝马迹法”可知非fitting不选。16.小语境。选A。很多考生在A和C之间徘徊，认为玛佳被安装上假尾巴能游泳的海豚震撼了，其实，这一种可能也许是存在的，但是如果考生能够深入理解后面的句子，就能知道玛佳是受到了鼓舞，才去寻求帮助，给自己也装上这种高科技的假肢。17.大语境。选C。从上文玛佳第一次装上不合适的假肢让她很痛苦（painful）可知，玛佳安装了合适的假肢后，她终于从pain中解脱了。用的同样是“蛛丝马迹法”。文章没出现过的“担忧”“悲伤”“害怕”可视而不见。18.大语境，同时也是固定搭配。选B，keep promise。19.小语境。选D。根据空格后的“then swam away”可知海豚是小心谨慎地靠近她的。根据常理也能选择答案，我们靠近一个新事物时，一般也总是试探性地、小心地行动。20.小语境。选C。根据上文的“伸出一只手去碰Winter”，可知过了几分钟后Winter就让她碰它的背了。
